Unlock Reports
Who can unlock a landing or production report?
- Inter-Agency personnel who have administrative rights in the Agency Web application.
Normal Procedure
- Whether the user contacts us or we contact them, let them know all reports are locked down after 90 days to help maintain data quality standards.
- It's a good idea to get a brief statement on why they need to edit the report without making it seem like the inquisition. If they ask why you can tell them we need the justification for the report edits to maintain an audit trail.
To unlock a report:
- Open the Agency Web (if you need help with basic operations see the Agency Web Users Manual).
- Search for a Report and open it.
The results will display in the table below.
Click on the Landing Report Number in 'ID' column to open the report.Â
Select the Icon in the top right of the Landing Report.
Select 'Unlock' from the menu options.Â
The Unlock Report modal will appear. The 'Stop Date' field will have the date on which the report became locked. We will change the 'Stop Date' to be in the future which will allow the user to make edits. Currently, you can only set it seven days in the future which means if the edits aren't made within seven days, you'll have to unlock it again.
Click the 'Save' Button to unlock the report.
Reopen the 'Unlock Report' modal to verify that the date has changed correctly.
At this point you can notify the processor that the report has been unlocked and is available for editing until the 'End Date' that you specified earlier.
