Trawl CP eLogbook Trip

Go to http://elandingst.alaska.gov and login using the following credentials:

UserID: SPLANKTON

Password: S_plankton

Scenario

You are fishing on an AFA trawl catcher processor in the Bering Sea targeting pollock. You will be documenting three days worth of hauls in the eLogbook.


Once you have logged in you should be on the main Reports Menu page. Locate and click on Current Year Logbook under the Logbook column.

You will be taken to the main eLogbook screen which will display basic Voyage information.

Step 1. On the left hand side you will see dates in the far left column, click on the first available date that has no entries next to it.

Step 2. You will be taken to the Logbook Entries screen, click on the Add Haul button.
  • On the Haul Deploy Entry screen you will need to enter the information in the table below and then click on the Save button.

Step 3. Next, you will see the haul entry you just made. To add the haul retrieval information, click on Haul 1 in blue text.
  • As you can see, if you want to edit any of the haul deploy information, this screen is where that can be done. 
  • However, at this time you just want to click on the Add Retrieval button.
Step 4. In the Haul Retrieval entry screen, enter the information from the table below and then click on the Save button.

  • You will be taken back to the Logbook Entries screen again, click on Haul 1 in blue text.
Step 5. Click on the Add Catch button to enter your IRIU catch information and any salmon PSC.
Hail weights should be the combined weight of all species from one particular haul.

The individual species weights should be broken down in the catch lines. Click on the Save button when you're done.
After you save, you will be taken back to the Haul Entries screen. 
At this point, click on the Display PDF button to view the logbook page.
Let's add two more hauls to the logbook on the following day by clicking on the Back to Main eLogbook button.


On the left side of the main eLogbook screen, locate and click on the day following the last entry.
  • Click on the Add Haul button and enter the information displayed in the table below.
