eLandings System Interface Guide
System Interface Guide
The eLandings system provides seafood processors the capability of doing one time data entry. That is, they can enter data once, either in eLandings or their own system, and use system interface features to avoid having to data enter it a second time. The interface features allow the data entered in eLandings to be extracted as an XMLdocument and imported into the processor's own system. Alternately, if the data is first entered in the processor's system then an XML document can be created with the reporting data and that document can be imported into eLandings.
The format of the import and export documents is defined by an XML schema. XML is an industry standard for file exchange formats. The schema precisely defines the data elements that are involved in the exchange. This guide documents the XML schema and how it is used in imports and exports.
The XML documents can be saved as files and imported or exported by user action. Alternately, third party systems can call web services provided by eLandings to retrieve or submit reports as XML documents.
