1. Generally, you should receive a return receipt within 20 minutes after emailing your transmission file.
However, sometimes it takes 1-2 hours to receive receipts if the mail processor is not working efficiently. If you
still have not received a receipt by the end of the day, please contact NMFS staff.
2. You should now have received an email with an attachment, subject "eLandings Report Return
Receipt". Right click the attachment (named something like e76480_transmit_20081031_100848_reply.zip) and
select Save As and save it in the directory C:\Program Files\seaLandings\transmissions.
3. Open seaLandings and log in.
4. Select Reporting, select Process Return Receipts
5. A dialog box will open to your transmission folder:

6. Highlight the zip file you just saved and select Open
7. You must process return receipts before making any changes to your reports.
8. If changes need to be made to your report after you've already transmitted them to elecrep@noaa.gov,
process your return receipt first. Then, reopen your report and make changes. Save the changes and transmit
a second file to elecrep@noaa.gov. Make sure to process the correct return receipt, not obsolete ones from
previous transmissions.
Return receipts need to be processed in the same order that they are transmitted. Changes may not be made
to reports until return receipts are first processed.
If you have any questions about your data, please do not email elecrep@noaa.gov for answers. Email a NMFS
staff person directly because elecrep@noaa.gov is not monitored by staff for non-eLandings files.
TIME-SAVER: An easier way of processing receipts is to drag and drop receipts from emails to your
desktop, then to your open seaLandings window.
With your email open, drag your receipt from your email to your desktop.
