 How do I reset my seaLandings password?

  • You First, you need to access elandings@alaska.gov and use the "Forgot Password" button on the login screen to reset your password to whatever you want it to be in seaLandings. You will be emailed a temporary password to the email associated with your User ID. When you receive the temporary password, follow the instructions in the email to reset your password on the eLandings website. Once you have successfully followed the steps, reset changed your password and successfully logged into on the eLandings website, you will need to also reset your password on the seaLandigns desktop clientreset it in seaLandings too
  • Open the seaLandings program but don't log in, hit Cancel instead. Then navigate to Configuration....Users, click on the UserUserID that you updated on the eLandings website, then click Open. Use the Reset Password button and enter your new password. This password MUST match the password you reset on the eLandings website. Save and close the window. Then you can click on File...Login and enter your user name and new password. Next To finalize the change you will need to go to Transmit...Reports, click on Transmit, save the file, attach it to an email addressed to elecrep@noaa.gov. Once you receive the return receipt, process it in seaLandings and your new password will be recognized in the systemsend a transmission. Follow your usually steps for either direct or file transmission. Once Once the transmission is successfully processed, your password change is complete.

NOTE: If you change your password on the web, you'll also need to change it on your stand-alone client. If you change it on your workstation computer, you will first need to change it on the eLandings website, or you will not be able to log in.

 What if the observer haul # and vessel haul # do not match?  

  • The Observer Haul Number column has been removed from the most current version of the seaLandings software application so if please upgrade your software for 2020.
  • Observer haul numbers are unique, start at one, and go up by one every time you make a haul.  If you delete a haul, there will be gaps in the observer haul number.
    • It's okay if the haul number and observer haul number do not match. The observer haul number is not something you can edit.

 What if I am unable to transmit my eLogbook?

  • You If you are using the Legacy Logbook you need to contact your home office so they can report for you.
  • Contact As soon as possible, contact eLandings support at elandings@alaska.gov and let them know you are unable to report. Include any pertinent details about errors or warnings that are happening. 

If you’re unable to report longer than 2 days then you will need to come back into port to fix issue.
