Who can unlock a landing or production report?
- Inter-Agency personnel who have administrative rights in the agency desktop application.
Normal Procedure
- Whether the user contacts us or we contact them, let them know all reports are locked down after 90 days to help maintain data quality standards.
- It's a good idea to get a brief statement on why they need to edit the report without making it seem like the inquisition. If they ask why you can tell them we need the justification for the report edits to maintain an audit trail.
To unlock a report:
- Search for a production or landing report and open it
- For landing reports, the Edit Stop Date button is located in the upper right corner within the Trip box
- For production reports, the Edit Stop Date button is located in the upper right corner within the Report box
- The date in this field indicates when they will no longer be able to make edits. So you're unlocking the report by changing the date.
- Currently, you can only set it seven days in the future which means if the edits aren't made within seven days, you'll have to unlock it again.
