How to Login & Change Your eFISH Password

The following documentation will provide users with step-by-step instructions on how to access the eFISH application, change your password, and activate new accounts.

Go to the eFISH website:  https://alaskafisheries.noaa.gov/webapps/efish/login

Before logging into eFISH you need your NMFS Username and Password.  If you need help getting your NMFS ID, please call: 1.800.304.4846  Option 2 or via email to RAM.alaska@noaa.gov

User's will need to ensure that the passwords associated with their accounts meet the following complexity standards:

  • Passwords must be at least 12 characters
  • Passwords cannot contain account name parts in the password (the NAME associated with the NMFS ID)
  • Passwords must contain characters from 3 of the 4 groups below:
    • Upper case (A-Z)
    • Lower case (a-z)
    • Numbers (0-9)
    • Special characters from this set (!,$,%,#)

eFISH  Permit Holder Login

  • Users will need to make sure that they check the Acknowledge and Accept checkbox before they can access the system
  • Enter your NMFS Username and Password
  • Click on the Login button

  • If your existing password does not meet the complexity standards as listed in the preceding section, you will be prompted to change it 

 

  • The Change Password dialog box will pop up
    • Enter your unique NMFS Username and current password
    • Enter your new password twice
      • As you can see, you have the option to hide what you're typing or view the text
    • Click on the Submit Change button

  • If your change was successful, you will get a message like the one below
  • Click on the small X in the upper right hand corner to close the dialog box

 

  • You will get an automated email from the RAM System letting you know you successfully changed your password

Forgot Your Password?

If you have forgotten your password, the RAM eFISH application will send you an email that includes a time sensitive link where you can change your password.

NOTE: Once you receive this email, the link is only active for 15 minutes.

  • On the eFISH page click on the Forgot your password? link

  • You will be taken to the Program Participant Password (Re)Creation dialog box
    • Enter the primary business contact email address that is associated with your RAM permit account
    • Enter your NMFS Username 
    • Click on the Submit button

  • You will get a message telling you the email was sent successfully if you entered a valid email address

  • Check your email account for a message sent by efish.Alaska@noaa.gov  If you don't see one in your inbox, check your SPAM folder
    • The message will look similar to the one below.
      • Click on the link in blue text to reset your password

  • You will be taken to the Program Participant Password (Re)Creation dialog box only this time you will not need to enter your old password

  • If you were successful in changing your password you will get a confirmation message like the one below as well as a link that will take you to the eFISH login page

  • You will also receive an email from efish.Alaska@noaa.gov letting you know your password was recently changed

Activate a New Account

First time users will need to create a password before they can access their account

  • On the eFISH login page click on the Activate an Account link

  • The Program Participant Password (Re)Creation dialog box will pop up
    • Enter your primary business contact email address
    • Enter your NMFS Username
    • Click on the Submit button

  • You will get a message telling you that the email containing the link to create a password was sent successfully

  • The email should look similar to the one below. If you don't see an email form efish.Alaska@noaa.gov check your SPAM folder
    • Click on the link in blue text

  • The link will take you to the Program Participant Password (Re)Creation dialog box 
    • Enter your NMFS Username
    • Enter your password twice
      • You can show the text you are typing by clicking on the Show button
      • If your passwords do not match you will receive a message similar to the one below

  • If you successfully created your password you will receive a notification email from efish.Alaska@noaa.gov
